Health Care Pricing Comparison Solution

Created a website that allowed consumers to shop and compare medical costs between various providers. Consumers could then request a good faith estimate from selected providers. Interfaced between provider’s list of CPT codes (ICD-9).

Consumer Health Information

Created a website for consumers to reduce their healthcare costs through education and self-assessment tools. Site is integrated with traditional medicine and chiropractic treatment provider's findings. Consumers can track and compare their health in 5 different wellness areas along with their peers in their social network.

 

Real Estate / Housing / Property Management

Real Estate Property Availability Notifications

Requirement: Customer has a website that matches homes available for rent-to-own with clients wanting to rent-to-own their next house. Customer would like to notify its clients via email when a house meeting the clients’ specifications is available for rent-to-own.

Solution: We developed a questionnaire for clients to complete with their housing profile. Then, we developed a system for matching clients with houses and sending email notices to the client when a new house is added to the available houses that meet their criteria.

Secure Bill Payment

Requirement: Clients have a need to add e-commerce to their websites, allowing their customers to purchase items or services via credit card.

Solution: We developed a turn-key module (Secure Bill Pay) that can be easily added to any website or be used as a stand-alone application to allow your customers to make purchases or pay invoices via a secure web-based application.

Case File Tracking application

Requirement: Customer had a need to have a central repository of all of their client case files available online and allow their clients to submit files online. Intranet system must keep track of all case files, assign the cases to customer personnel and allow the customer and client to communicate case file status in an efficient manner. The system must be customizable so that each client case file is unique to that client, secure so that sensitive client information is protected, provide case file follow-up processes and allow for case file notes to be added and shared among those people who need to know. The system must be accessible from both client and customer offices. The system must also be able report on various file statuses providing an at-a-glance status report as well as other summary reports. The customer had a manual method of providing their clients with case file status information. This took a considerable effort and was often out of date. They requested us to evaluate and recommend a solution.

Solution: We developed a secure, custom intranet application that allowed their clients to easily enter and update case files into a central database. The solution allows client and customer personnel to stay on top of each case file, share information in an efficient manner and for clients to submit new case files quickly and easily. Client and customer personnel are able to access case files 24/7 from any location with Internet access. The solution allows the user to sort and report case file information in a variety of manners. The solution allows for users to enter case file notes and payments received by case.

 

Non-Profit Organizations

Online Charitable Donations Solution

Requirement: Customer wants to be able to accept online donations. Donors can choose to make a one-time gift or recurring gift and make the gift via e-Check or credit card. Customer would like to be able to view online donation reports.

Solution: We developed an online donation form whereby donors can register on the website and enter their donation information, including specifying whether the gift is one-time or recurring and whether payment is by e-Check or credit card. The system submits the donations for processing and provides online reports of donation amounts by donor. The system also allows the donor to manage their donation information to change to a different credit card number for recurring donations, change their donation amount or change the frequency of their donations.

 

Timesheet Tracking Solution

Created a web-based time sheet tracking / management system that allowed users to select from various time sheet formats. System also included financial reports compliant with CNCS, volunteer tracking and other client-specific reports. Back end included Microsoft Reporting Services Reports for exporting data to PDF, Excel, XML, etc.

 

Print / Publishing

Custom Marketing Print Solution

Created a web-based one-to-one marketing website that allowed users to build custom print materials (postcards, letterhead, newsletters) which were then merged with an uploaded mailing list. Each mailing list record was profiled and matched up with selected content (text / images) which was then printed. Output included html-formatted email, PDF and Xerox 6180.

Screen Print Solution

Created a web-based custom product ordering system that allowed users to order print material from a catalog of products which included on-screen rendering of custom products. All products were built through a web-based admin area. Back end included a shopping cart, interface to UPS for shipping charges and payment gateway.

 

General Business

Document Center

Requirement: Our client had a need to access various documents by multiple users in a secure environment. Further, documents needed to have their own user-level security. The application needed to be able to allow the user to search for documents by keyword.

Solution: We created a Document Center for the client which provided the client with these features and allowed the client to be able to upload new documents to the application via FTP.

Conference Registration

Requirement: Our client had a need for a custom web-based conference registration application. Their annual conference hosts over 700 families and has different pricing, events, and amenities each year. They needed a system that could easily adapt to the unique characteristics of the host city. The application integrates in real-time with their master membership database.

Solution: PVA created an application that is easy to use and flexible. The system can produce exportable spreadsheets and reports for each event, grouped and sorted by different criteria.

 

Human Resources

Employee Vacation and Sick Days application

Requirement: Customer had a need to have their employees enter vacation and sick time requests online. Intranet system must keep track of all requests, amount of vacation and sick days accrued, etc. Amount of time allowed is based on employee’s job classification and seniority. Supervisors are notified when a request is entered and are able to review the request and any other subordinate requests from the nearby time period. Customer tried utilizing a commercially available system for time tracking. After spending a lot of time trying to make the inexpensive standardized system work, they requested us to evaluate and recommend a solution.

Solution: We developed a custom intranet application that allowed the customer to easily parameterize the business rules for different employee situations. We also implemented an easy-to-use online “In/Out” board for the staff to quickly determine who is in the office without time-consuming telephone or on-foot searches.

Human Resources – Employee Point Tracking System

Requirement: Customer had a need to track employees not following company guidelines for punching in on the time clock, leaving their shift early and not showing up for their shift. Previously, the information was tracked in a spreadsheet that was cumbersome to maintain, inaccurate and there was not an easy way to report employee information.

Solution: We developed a secure, custom desktop application that allow the customer to enter employee points as they occurred and generate employee warning and termination reports as employees violated company policy.

Online Job Application Form

Requirement: Our client had a need to create a PDF report from a web-based, job application website. The PDF needs to show all of the user-entered job application information along with a signature line so that the employee may sign the job application at the time of their interview and so that the application does not need to be re-typed into a job application form and so that the applicant does not need to complete a paper job application at the time of the interview.

Solution: We created a PDF-generated application from the information that the user has entered on the website. The PDF can be downloaded and printed so that the employee may sign the job application at the time of their interview and so that the application does not need to be re-typed into a job application form and so that the applicant does not need to complete a paper job application at the time of the interview. The application remains available on-demand in the application until the time that the job application is purged.

 

Customer Relationship Management

Customer Profile and Preferences

Requirement: Customer wants to be able to capture their clients name and address and product preferences for their retail website. The client preferences are used for targeting marketing as well as making online purchases on the website. Customer would like the client to make updates to their profile and preferences online.

Solution: We developed an online Client Profile system that allows clients to add, change and delete their name and address information as well as their product preferences. Client Profile and preferences settings are used by the system to populate marketing email distribution lists as well as provide shipping and billing address information for online purchases.

 

Restaurant / Food

Production Problem Tracking application

Requirement: Customer had a need to have a central repository of all production problems online. Intranet system must keep track of all production problems and allow their personnel to sort and view these problems so that they can determine how to prevent production problems from reoccurring. The system must be accessible from multiple facilities. The system must be able to track credits given to customers, product that must be destroyed due to production problems, customer returns of unacceptable product and discrepancies between the customer order and what the customer received. The system must cross-validate information entered against the corporate customer information and force the entry of required information. The system must also be able report on various repair categories for analyzing production problem trends. The customer had utilizing a manual, paper method of tracking production problems and found that these forms were often lost making analysis of production problems very difficult and time consuming. After spending a lot of time trying to organize and analyze their manual system, they requested us to evaluate and recommend a solution.

Solution: We developed a secure, custom intranet application that allowed their personnel to easily enter and update production problems into a central database. Customer personnel are able to access repair requests 24/7 from any location with Internet access. The solution allows the user to report the production problem information in a variety of sorts and analyze production problem trends.
